room decor ideas?? for a teenage girl?
im re-doing my room over so i really need some ideas. ive been looking for a new comforter but SO far i haven’t seen anything i liked ): they were all to boring for my taste. so can you guys help me on were to find some REALLY cool stuff for my room? heres the stuff i like- i like ANYTHING pink as long as its not floral or princessy, and i love things that are sparkly. i really like the colors pink, black, & white. i dont like anything thats plain at all!!!!!!!!!! and would love to find a really cool lady gaga poster too put on my wall since shes my favorite singer (: i hate things that are plaid and preppy. and i like music and anything that deals with music.. so got any ideas??? and dont forget that i REALLY like sparkles
If your parents would do it, paint the walls white and add black crown moulding, to the tops and bottoms of the walls, and also the lower middle of the wall (if they want to do the work). Again, I picture this in black. Then you could put a couple posters, including Gaga, (framed if you like) (http://posters.com) which have thes same sorts of colors but primarily magenta or bright pink colors, mixed with black. Also look up Pop Art. You can get plain colored comforters but get accent pillows in the colors you want (pinks, white, black). I’m sure you could fine sequined fabric at your local fabric store and making drapes are pretty easy. You might even want to throw accents of zebra print too. Just look it up.
If moulding isn’t an option, still just paint the walls white and you can still add black peel and stick appliques in all sorts of designs that you can add to the walls to your liking. The key is the leave the walls black/white and have the pink in the accent areas like pics, drapes, pillows, rugs etc.
The finished look would be like a rocker princess look. But not in the princess way you’re thinking of (ie Disney).
